Nothing Else in B.C. Matters is always looking for new members to come join
us in celebrating all things Metallica.
Can't find a friend to hang out with at the concert? We're there, and we'd
love for you to come make a whole lot of noise with us.
We've got lots of ideas and plans for NEBCM, and we want as many people
as we can get on board to come along for the ride.
The only requirement for joining Nothing Else in B.C. Matters is that you
must be an active member of the Metallica Club. If you are a member then email us, give us your metclub # and we'll
send it on and sign you up!
Not in the Metallica Club...
What is the MetClub? Glad you asked!
The current incarnation of the Metallica Club was formed in 1993. It's been
around in various formats almost since the beginning of Metallica itself, most famously the Metal Militia of the mid-1980s.
But the MetClub as it is today is truly something special.
Far more than the name "fan club" would imply, The Metallica Club exists so the band can keep a two-way line of communication
open to the people who have supported them over the years.
The Club is every fan's ultimate ticket into the private world of Metallica
and to interact with the band.
Fully owned and operated by the
band itself, the Metallica Club is a fail-safe way to know that all fan voices are heard and all requests are considered.
ALL MAIL IS READ. Everyone, especially the band, wants to hear Club Member ideas!
WHAT DO I GET FOR JOINING THE METCLUB?
Your Membership Package will include a T-shirt (past shirts have been designed by James, Pushead, Squindo,
and in 2003 a fan design chosen by the band!), a pre-printed autographed band photo, a glossy "introductory letter" from a
band member, 4 issues of the Club magazine, So What! (featuring "round table" interviews with the band, stories about the
band, and pages done directly by the band members), and access to exclusive online material and the Poor Posting Me message
board at www.MetClub.com.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN PERKS OF BEING IN THE CLUB?
Another excellent question. How about meeting Metallica? The most excellent benefit of being in the MetClub
is when the band is touring. At (almost) every show, a small group of lucky Clubberz win the opportunity to go backstage and
participate in the Meet & Greet! Several of NEBCM's members have been fortunate enough to win the online lottery and meet
their heavy metal heroes. Why shouldn't you?

The other major benefits of being in the MetClub are the opportunities to purchase rare and exclusive Metallica
items. Anybody who has been a fan of Metallica long enough has heard of the Fan Can. In case you haven't, the Fan Can is a
paint can with a Metallica design (sometimes even done by James!) on it and the following items inside: a video, a CD, a crew
T-shirt and assorted other trinkiets. Past Cans have included a rain poncho, dog tags, and bottle openers! The videos are
usually full-length, uncut, uncensored concerts, and the CD can be that or demos (the Fan Can #3 CD--Mucho Demo--contained
11 demo tracks from Load/ReLoad that were voted on by MetClubbers!). There have to date been four Fan Cans, and the fifth
one has been long in anticipation.

Also, from time to time the Club will have extremely rare items available for sale. Last year for a very
limited time St. Anger lithographs were on sale, as well as the 2003-04 Tour Book, T-shirts from the Europe and North America
tours, as well as replicas of the wristbands that James wears on stage!
Probably the biggest exclusive item from the MetClub last year was the limited run of 500 autographed copies
of the So What! book! These were in such high demand that Clubberz crashed the MetStore and had snapped all up the available
books within an hour!
Still not convinced? How about exclusive Pushead merchandise? For the past year, the renowned artist has
designed a series of MetClub-exclusive Etched Glasses featuring classic Metallica images he has created. So far there have
been three Glasses, and they are incredible!

Oh wait, something I forgot to mention. Every now and again when warming up for a tour the band needs to
practice. You know, try out new songs, see how they like the stage set-up, that kind of thing. Sometimes when they are practicing
they invite members of the Metallica Club to, y'know, WATCH THEM PRACTICE!!! Yes that's right, MetClub member-exclusive concerts,
usually in an intimate setting that lets you get right up close to preview the tour!
